doyle ✘ do you show any kind of mercy

After hours of listening to Gillis mutter a deeply profane adult version of 'don't talk to strangers, kids' (while they work on the logistics of a manhunt through London for Dominic Doyle), eventually Bellamy reaches a point where there is nothing left for him to do in the immediate future and if he stays up any longer, he's going to be useless for all the things he will have to do later. It's aggravating, interviewing the survivors and reassuring the doctor that he didn't get a concussion in his fall, having no luck digging up Doyle from whatever rabbit hole he's disappeared down into.

So he gets home, spends fifteen minutes apologizing to his cat for not arranging for someone else to feed him while he was working late, and miraculously manages to get all the way to bed rather than dozing off on the sofa (again).

This'll end well.
